Ana Atem, MSc, RTC, RPC-C

Registered counsellor

Ana grew up in Brazil and immigrated to Canada 13 years ago. In search of restructuring her life after a divorce, she found a purpose in helping people find their own inner wisdom and voice. Her passion is to support clients in their self-exploratory journey by restoring the connection with themselves, and creating a safe place for them to reflect, feel their emotions, share their stories and challenges.

Ana uses an integrative holistic lens of different therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotional Regulation, Feminist Therapy (*anti-oppression framework), and Polyvagal Theory. She is committed to ongoing learning and self-development, as she is as human as her clients.  Ana is a true believer that whenever she holds space for another human soul, she is helping herself too.

Areas of practice: personal growth, inner-child work, immigration, loneliness, divorce/break ups, career challenges/transitions, anxiety, attachment theory, improving relationships and dating, emotional regulation, grief and loss, addressing self-esteem issues, low confidence and feelings of unworthiness.
