Ana Atem, MSc, RPC-C, RTC
Registered Counsellor
Life’s challenges are something Ana knows intimately. Having lived in Canada as an immigrant for over 15 years, she has experienced firsthand the pain of divorce, the struggles of starting over in a new country, and the journey of healing from deep personal wounds. These lived experiences have profoundly shaped who she is today and fuel her passion for helping others navigate their own paths toward healing and growth.
As a Registered Counsellor (RTC, RPC-C) based in Vancouver, Canada, Ana brings a deep, lived understanding of the human experience to her practice. She creates a non-judgmental, compassionate space where clients can feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Her approach is trauma-informed, inclusive, and deeply rooted in kindness and empathy.
In her sessions, Ana works collaboratively with clients to untangle the complexities of their experiences, guiding them toward reconnecting with their inner selves and finding clarity amid life’s noise. Whether someone is navigating major life transitions, struggling with self-esteem, or simply feeling lost, she is committed to walking alongside them with care and respect.
What inspires Ana most is witnessing the incredible courage it takes to reach out for help — a courage she herself has had to summon in her own journey. She believes that taking the first step inward is a powerful act of self-love and transformation.
Areas of practice: Relationships with others and with oneself, personal growth and self-discovery, inner-child healing, navigating the immigration journey, loneliness and the search for connection, divorce, breakups, and rebuilding after loss, career challenges and life transitions, anxiety, emotional regulation and resilience, attachment patterns and creating healthy relationships, dating and improving relationship dynamics, grief and loss, and strengthening self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth
